Renovating a room and fitting out a kitchen

To renovate a room, you will need a project. You need at least two people to work on it: an architectural designer and a technician. The former is responsible for the architecture, style and design of the room. The job of the second is to plan the layout of services and equipment to meet plumbing codes and regulations, as well as the needs of your business. Guided by the concept and proposed menu, the technologist will draw up a list of equipment for the kitchen and warehouse and help you to place everything as conveniently as possible to ensure the smooth running of your chefs. The technologist will also advise on the best way to arrange tables in the hall, where to place the cash register and bar, how to equip the restrooms. Usually such a specialist is in close contact with companies supplying equipment and can also advise on where and how to buy or rent the necessary equipment on favourable terms or at a good discount.

We do not recommend designing a restaurant kitchen yourself if you have never done it before: you will have to spend too much time and effort on searching for information and further approvals of the project. When the budget for equipment is limited, it’s best to work with a technologist to decide how much to save. If, however, you absolutely want to be involved in creating the project yourself, then you are perfectly capable of tackling the simple tasks of interior design: choosing the style, the colours, the furniture for the hall and the décor.
